in 2003 I was looking for a utility to help me track and resolve why my notebook was never allowing my hard-drive to stay suspended.
http://powertweak.sf.net seems to me to be a greate (but somewhat dead) project that allows the user to view low-level hardware and kernel configurations details, and even to tweak those values. I am now a powertweak developer (though distracted by my
TWikiProject work) and want to add the following
- real clien-server with networking
- data gathering in the server
- graphing in the client
- lm_sensors support
- Gnome panel app that can show any tweak data like the battery app does (with graphing?)
- GnomeSetupTool? support
- what about KDE (which i don't run)
- add IPMI support - http://ipmitool.sourceforge.net/
- mmmm, can we do some reporting / configuratoin with http://people.redhat.com/arjanv/irqbalance/
