Foswiki

I'm a part of the Foswiki community that were forced to fork away from TWiki through the actions of Peter and his startup. While Peter says 'all we have to do is agree to the new terms&conditions' we do not feel we can agree to terms that reduce our work to a marketing exercise for his company, and we don't agree that his startup can sell our user information.

Foswiki is already a larger project than TWiki was, with more active developers, and more changes and fixes. Over the next year, we are driving it to become not only the leading Enterprise wiki engine, but also the most attractive.

TWikiProject

I was a TWiki:Codev.CoreTeam member for 5 years, and had been doing TWiki development from 1999-2008. I worked on most TWiki features and all the releases during that time.

Debian packages for Foswiki

I have a debian repository with the latest foswiki release, and all the foswiki extensions (with dependancies) at http://fosiki.com/Foswiki_debian

and to updates, and installations are truly trivial.

PowerTweak

in 2003 I was looking for a utility to help me track and resolve why my notebook was never allowing my hard-drive to stay suspended. http://powertweak.sf.net seems to me to be a greate (but somewhat dead) project that allows the user to view low-level hardware and kernel configurations details, and even to tweak those values. I am now a powertweak developer (though distracted by my TWikiProject work) and want to add the following

SmallProjects

Something to try

  • BlogHome?
  • I'm going to try to turn this TWiki into a Blog
    • with a search on one side for all mentions of TODO (which i will make up differently)
    • and the camera thing
    • mm live fish pictures smile
  • i'm going to want a session plugin, but with no requirement to log in to edit. I like the layout of http://www.mnot.net/blog/ smile

Before Sepember 2004 I had a sweet 1999 trek 950, steel frame smile

Afterwards I now have a 2003 LaPierre? 360 Hardtail

Bloody Lufthansa lost my bike in transit between Singapore and Paris on our way to tour the Loire - so I bought a new bike in Fontainbleau - Thanks to ColasNahaboo?, CrawfordCurrie?, MartinCleaver?, and of course Pammy for helping me (yes, they were all there smile )

FishStuff

We're starting our fishtanks new, so i've got to cycle the tank - I guess that means some simple hardy fish first smile

Before we put all our stuff into storage and went to Zurich for 6 months

Catfish are fun, I seem to have 50 to 100 little baby bronze cories.

ClimbingStuff

I've been climbing indoors since 1997/8 , and bouldering around North Sydney since 2000. In 2004 Crawford and I went bouldering in Fontainbleau. smile
